30/05/2012 - Exhibition and talk by Ned Boulting

On 30 May 2012 from 7.30-9.00pm, Ned Boulting will be doing a talk about his book "How I won the Yellow Jumper" at Dorking Library. Waterstones will be selling his book on the night.

Sports journalist and presenter, Ned Boulting, has covered every Tour de France since 2003 for ITV. He has also presented ITV's coverage of the Tour of Britain and the inaugural Tour Series. His book "How I Won The Yellow Jumper: Dispatches from the Tour de France" tracks his path as a cycling journalist from his early "occasionally excruciating" experiences as a novice covering the world's most famous cycling race to informed expert. The book is described as a must for anyone who likes France and/or cycling as Ned offers an insider's view of what really goes on behind the scenes.

In 2006, Ned was named Sports Reporter of the Year by the Royal Television Society in recognition of the consistent quality of his work. Since 2003 he has also reported widely for ITV on both football and rugby. He has also produced documentaries on the Dutch footballer, Dennis Bergkamp and an award-winning film on Steven Gerrard.

As Surrey prepares to host the Olympic cycling races, join Ned for an amusing account of his cycling journey.

The intended age group of audience is 16 years plus.
